Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Selection Test - 2025

• Presently the JNVs are spread in 27 States and 08 Union Territories.

• These are co-educational residential schools fully financed and administered by Government of India through an autonomous organization, Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti.

• While education in the schools is free including board& lodging, uniform and textbooks, a sum of Rs. 600/- per month is collected only from the students of Classes IX to XII towards Vidyalaya Vikas Nidhi (VVN).

• Educational Qualification: for 6th

• Admission of candidate to class VI in a JNV is district specific. A candidate who is studying class V in a district is allowed to apply for admission to JNV in the same district only.

• Candidate has to study class V in any of the Govt. or Govt. recognized schools located in the same District during 2024-25.

• Candidates who have passed class V before the session 2024-25 or repeater candidates are not eligible to apply.

• A candidate seeking admission must not have been born before 01-05-2013 and after 31-07-2015 (Both dates are inclusive).

• Reservation:

• At least 75% of the seats in a district will be filled by candidates provisionally selected from rural areas of the district.

• 15% for SC and 7.5% for ST

• 27% reservation shall be provided to the OBC students

• Minimum One third of the total seats are filled by girls.
